Low power consumption smart-lock

Goal

Create a smartlock that can be unlocked/locked when the user’s smartphone is detected nearby. Low power consumption and compact design were set as design objectives.

Team leader (team of 6) and mechanical design engineer

Outcome

Successfully built proof of concept prototype of Bluetooth controlled lock. Successfully designed and simulated the complex mechanism kinematic under compact design constraint.
